In our recent interview with The New Humanitarian news, CoRMSA raised concerns over the delayed processes of asylum permits, the backlog and the growing number of rejections. According to the Immigration Act, asylum seekers are supposed to be issued with temporary permits, which gives them the right to live and work in the country, but this seems to be impossible.

We hope the The Department of Home Affairs will speed up the process.
