Hate Crimes Materials Now Available

Following recent indications in the media from the Department of Justice and Constitutional Development that legislation on hate crimes is being developed, CoRMSA has compiled a number of materials to assist policy makers and advocates with this process. CoRMSA’s website now features a specific section for information on hate crimes which includes documents from South Africa as well as the international context. These documents include a legal brief on the current legislation gaps around hate crimes, a guide for legislators on developing hate crimes laws as well as other materials of use to both policy makers and advocacy groups.
