Minister Sisulu Promises Action Against Those Threatening Violence

Defence Minister Lindiwe Sisulu has promised that harsh action will be taken against those threatening violence against foreign nationals or others in the country. The Minister was speaking in Cape Town after some initial incidents took place in the Western Cape prompting people to seek shelter at police stations in Paarl and Wellington. Initial indications have been that police responded quickly to these incidents and this helped contain the situation.

Minister Sisulu has urged those being threatened to report the matter to the local police stations so that actions can be taken.
