Displacement Continues in Polokwane

Zimbabwean nationals displaced by xenophobic violence last week in Westernburg, Polokwane remain displaced as efforts continue to find ways to assist them. The response from the local Disaster Management service has reportedly been very good so far with shelter and other assistance being rapidly provided. A number of NGOs and international organisations are also assisting in trying to find ways to help the displaced people move from their current shelter and rebuild their lives but reports indicate that conditions in Westernburg at present are not conducive to their return.
